Description
The Cottage is a cottage located in Grafty Green, built in the 19th century with a core dating back to the 16th century. It is constructed of stone, with red brick in header bond beneath the eaves, and features a plain tile roof. The building is single storey with an attic and has a half-hipped roof. There is a red brick stack within the left half-hip and a brick ridge stack towards the right. The cottage has three hipped dormers and an irregular arrangement of three windows: a three-light casement to the left of centre, a partly-blocked four-light stone mullioned window with a moulded hoodmould to the right of centre, and a two-light casement towards the right end. There is a hollow-chamfered stone doorway at the rear towards the right end. The interior has not been inspected. The Cottage is likely associated with Boughton Malherbe Place.
