Description
Bowley Cottage and Bowley Hall Cottage are a pair of houses from the 18th century, located on the west side of Liverton Street in Lenham. The ground floor features a chequered pattern of red and grey brick, while the first floor is rendered. The left gable end is covered in tiles, and the right gable end is made of stone with brick dressings. The buildings are two storeys high, with a roof that is hipped to the left and includes a gablet, along with a hip that returns around the left side elevation. There are two brick ridge stacks, one towards the left end and another with a stone base that slightly projects to the right. The windows are arranged irregularly, consisting of five 3-light casements: one at each end and three in the center. Each cottage has a boarded door located beneath the gaps between the central and end groups. There is a short rear extension to the left, constructed with the same materials. The interiors have not been inspected.
