Description
This barn, located about 3.5 metres south-west of Masons Farmhouse, dates from the 16th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, sitting on a stone plinth. The lower part of the right bay and the lower part of the right gable end are made of coursed galletted stone. The roof is hipped and covered with corrugated iron. There are double doors to the left of the centre and a boarded door on each floor of the right end bay. The interior has only been partly inspected and features approximately four timber-framed bays, arch-braced wall-plates, and plain crown-posts with foot braces.
