Description
Dunromin Fermor Cottage is a house, now part of a row of houses, dating from the 15th or early 16th century. It is timber-framed and weather-boarded. The right gable end features broadly-spaced studs with arch braces on the first floor, while the ground floor is constructed of brick. The building has two storeys and a steeply pitched hipped roof, which includes a gablet on the right side. There are three red brick chimneys: one projecting from the left end, a multiple brick ridge stack at the top of the left hip, and a small stack at the right end. The windows are arranged irregularly and consist of three 3-light casements. There is a ribbed door leading to Dunromin beneath the left chimney and another ribbed door with a rectangular light leading to Fermors Cottage towards the right end. There are 19th and 20th century additions at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
