Description
Offen Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on Lenham Road in Boughton Malherbe. The building features a timber frame with a painted brick ground floor and bonded plain and fishscale tiles on the first floor. It has a plain tile roof and a lobby entry plan consisting of three timber-framed bays, including a stack bay. The farmhouse stands three storeys high with a hipped roof and an off-centre ridge stack to the right. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of two 2-light casements. The entrance has a boarded door with a rectangular light above it, sheltered by a flat bracketed hood beneath the stack. Inside, the farmhouse showcases exposed framing and chamfer-stopped ground-floor beams. There is also a straight path made of Bethersden marble slabs leading from the front door to Lenham Road.
