Description
Lenniker Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame, with the main range covered in 19th-century flint and red brick dressings, while the wing and stair turret are tile-hung. The main range has a short wing that projects into the garden and a stair turret at the angle. The building is two storeys high and sits on a plinth.
On the garden front, the roof is hipped to the left, with the ridge slightly higher than that of the wing, which also has a hipped front. There is a central multiple brick ridge stack and a smaller red brick stack located in the hip of the wing. The fenestration is irregular, featuring one single-light casement in the stair turret and one two-light casement on the first floor of the wing. The left gable end has a three-light 19th-century casement with a segmental head, and there is a boarded door under a segmental head at the rear of the left gable end. The original front elevation became the rear when the road line changed, prior to the 19th-century alterations made to the house. The interior has not been inspected.
