Description

FRINSTED HOGBARN ROAD TQ 85 NE (east side)

1/2 Lenniker Farmhouse

II Farmhouse. C16 or earlier with C19 alterations. Timber framed. Main range clad in C19 flint with red brick dressings, wing and stair turret tile-hung. Main range, with short wing projecting to garden and stair turret in angle. 2 storeys on plinth. Garden front: roof hipped to left with ridge slightly higher than wing. Wing hipped to front. Central multiple brick ridge stack. Smaller red brick stack in hip of wing. Irregular fenestration of one single-light casement to stair turret and one 2-light casement to first floor of wing. Left gable end has 3-light C19 casement with segmental head. Boarded door under segmental head to rear of left gable end. Original front elevation became rear when line of road changed, before C19 alterations carried out to house. Interior not inspected.
