Description

This is a headstone commemorating William Fukes, located about 1.5 metres south-west of the south-west corner of the nave of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of stone. The headstone features a shaped top that is intricately carved with skulls, cross-bones, an hour-glass, and a book. It also honors Elizabeth, his wife, who died in 1747.
