Description
Mercer Farm House is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber-framed structure with red and grey brick on the ground floor arranged in Flemish bond, while the first floor is tile-hung. The building has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys tall. The tile-hanging is raised over what are likely two central open hall bays. The roof is hipped, with a gablet on the left side. There is a multiple filleted brick ridge stack located on the front slope of the roof, positioned off-centre to the right. The windows are irregularly arranged and consist of four 20th-century windows, including two 3-light casements and two hipped eaves dormers. A boarded door is situated in a porch beneath the stack, and there is a boarded door on the first floor at the centre of the right gable end. Additionally, there is a rear lean-to. The interior has not been inspected.
