Description

This is a headstone located 5 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Mary, dating from the early 18th century. It is made of carved stone and features a segmental pediment above an inscription panel, which is flanked by corner columns. The top of the pediment has console brackets, and there is a central figure depicted with crossed legs, a raised heart on its chest, and a skull and hourglass on the other side. The inscription commemorates William, the son of Henry Mansbridge, who died in 1703.
