Description

Homeway Cottages is a terrace of six cottages dating to the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The walls are of brick, with some areas rendered and painted to show the brick headers. The roof is slate, with some sections tiled in the 20th century. The cottages are two storeys high and seven bays wide. A six-panel door is located in the second bay from the left. There is a blocked door in the centre of the terrace, above a blind opening. A 12-pane sash window with a segmental arch is located in the bay between the left-hand end and the left-hand bay. The three bays on the right-hand side have been rendered, with five 20th-century 8-pane sash windows. The terrace has end and centre ridge stacks. The cottages are included in the listing primarily for their group value.
