Description
Elingfield House is an 18th-century house, subsequently altered in the 19th and 20th centuries and now used as offices. It is constructed of brickwork in a Flemish bond pattern, with cambered ground-floor openings and decorative brick dentil eaves; some gable ends have been rendered. The roof is tiled, and the building is double pile. The north-west front is symmetrical, featuring a two-storey, three-window central block. This facade has Victorian sash windows in exposed frames. A doorway, above stone steps, has an architrave and panelled reveals, and a 20th-century open porch has been added. The south-east (garden) elevation is also symmetrical, with two storeys and five windows, and a lower two-storey, single-window wing to the west. Sash windows with exposed frames are present here too. A simple, early 19th-century porch is also located on this elevation.
