Description
County Bridge is a road bridge over the River Test, built in 1793. It is constructed from Portland stone and features a large segmental arch supported by abutments. The lower part of the spandrels includes circular passageways. The bridge has a parapet with weathered coping and a lower projecting band. The center section on each face is slightly raised above a small keystone, which contains a moulded panel inscribed with "BUILT BY THE COUNTY MDCCXCIII". This structure is noted as an Ancient Monument.
