Description
Ivy House is an L-shaped house located on Old Redbridge Road, dating from the 17th century, with the front part constructed in the mid-18th century. It is two storeys high and built of colour-washed brick, topped with a renewed tiled roof that is hipped on the left side. The house features an eaves cornice and has three sash windows in cased frames with cambered heads on the ground floor. There is a panelled door at the entrance. The left return end has one sash window, and there is a one-storey wing at the rear with two windows. The right end elevation includes a two-storey, canted 18th-century sashed bay window. The property also has a walled garden. Inside, there is a panelled hall, a parlour, and two bedrooms, along with a simple mid-18th-century staircase that features a section of turned balustrading along the landing. The rear wing has exposed beams.
