Description
Nos. 90 and 92 Rumbridge Street is a manor house that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the mid-18th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. Originally known as Rumbridge Manor House, records of this building date back to the 15th century. The structure is made of brick and features an old plain tile roof. It is two stories high and has five bays, with additional structures at the rear.
On the ground floor, there are two gabled hoods supported by slender columns, two 2-pane flush-framed sash windows set under segmental arches, and a two-light casement window. The first floor contains two 12-pane flush-framed sash windows and three later sash windows. The roof is steeply pitched and has half-hipped ends, with 19th-century stacks at either end.
