Description

This barn, located about 30 metres south of Ripple Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in irregular Flemish bond on a flint base, and features an asbestos-clad roof. The roof is hipped to the right and half hipped to the left, with a cart entry on the left side. There are cart doors on the left and ventilation slits along the long sides. Inside, the barn has 8 bays with aisles and quadrant braces that run parallel to the rafters, supporting a clasped purlin roof.
