Description
This is a barn, likely built in the mid-18th century, with some alterations to the roof in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of flint with red brick dressings and ventilation slits. The north-east end of the barn has the gable covered with weatherboarding, while the south-west end has a corrugated asbestos covering on the gable. The barn has a half-hipped slate roof. There are two cart entrances. It has a plinth and is arranged in eight bays. The roof structure includes staggered purlins, angled queen struts and collar beams. Three bays were re-roofed in the early 19th century, incorporating a ridge piece and nailed-on diagonal braces. Corner dragon ties are also present.
