Description

This is a 16th-century barn located about 70 metres east of Marshborough Farmhouse. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a thatched roof, which has a small corrugated iron extension on the left. The roof is hipped, featuring one slated and one plain tiled midstrey on either side. Inside, the barn has eight bays with aisles and terminal outshots. It includes passing shores to the arcade posts and a clasped purlin roof with ogee wind bracing. This barn is noted for its good quality construction.
