Description
The Homestead and The Olde Square is a house that has been converted into a pair of houses. It dates back to the 16th century, with cladding added in the 17th century and further modifications in the mid-19th century. The structure is timber framed and is clad with red and yellow brick, as well as weatherboarding, topped with a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high with a hipped roof that features a gablet on the right side. The left end elevation has a plinth, a plat band, a cornice, and a shaped gable with a segmental pediment. There are chimney stacks on the left end and in the center right. The first floor has five wooden casement windows, while the ground floor includes two canted bay windows and two wooden casements, along with a half-glazed door to the left in a glazed porch and a glazed door in the center right. During restoration work, some exposed close-studding was revealed.
