Description
Parsonage Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, but it was refronted in the late 18th century. The building is timber framed and covered with buff brick, featuring red brick in English bond on the side and rear elevations, and has tile hanging on the left return. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys high with a parapet on the hipped roof. There are stacks located to the centre right and offset at the projecting end left. The first floor has four glazing bar sash windows and one window space, while the ground floor features four glazing bar sash windows with cambered heads. The central entrance door is made up of six raised and fielded panels, topped with a cornice and flanked by pilasters, and is accessed by three steps. Inside, there is a panelled entrance hall with moulded joists and a late 17th-century panelled room that includes several fitted cupboards. The house is located adjacent to and partly within a moated site.
