Description

Sheraton Cottage is an early 19th-century terrace building located on Middle Street. It consists of two storeys and attics, constructed of red brick under an old tiled roof. The terrace is no longer uniform, with each house featuring one sash window, some of which still have intact glazing bars. Notable architectural details include a string course on Nos 165 and 167. No 161 has a simple moulded doorcase with a cornice, while No 163 features a doorcase with a moulded architrave and keystone. No 165 has a plain stone surround with a keystone for its door, and No 167 has a modern pedimented doorcase. The building is included for its group value, as it is part of a larger group of properties from Nos 161 to 189 (odd).
