This is a late 18th to early 19th century building of five storeys and a basement, constructed of painted brick. The front elevation features two sash windows with intact glazing bars. A pedimented doorcase frames a six-panelled door. The building is listed for its group value, forming part of a group with numbers 161 to 189 (odd) on Middle Street.
