Description

Keppel Cottage is an 18th-century building located on Middle Street. It is two storeys high with attics and is constructed of painted brick. The old tiled roof features one dormer. The cottage has two sashes with intact glazing bars and shutters on the ground floor windows. A stringcourse runs along the building, and the doorcase on the right side is adorned with a cornice that has a festooned frieze, two paterae with cherub medallions, and modified Ionic half columns. The building also has a plinth. Keppel Cottage is part of a group with Nos 140 to 148 (even).
