Description

Plum Tree House, located at 39 High Street, is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with attics. It features a painted brick exterior and a tiled roof, which includes one hipped dormer. The building has a wooden modillion eaves cornice and five sash windows, although the glazing bars are missing. A modern shop front has been added. The doorcase is adorned with an open pediment and a semi-circular fanlight, supported by Doric pilasters. The door itself consists of eight fielded panels. Plum Tree House is part of a group that includes Nos 27 to 43 (odd).
