Description

Nos 28 and 30 on High Street are two timber-framed houses that share a roof span and were refronted in the 18th century. They are two storeys tall with an attic. No 28 features painted brick, while No 30 is finished in stucco. The houses have a tiled roof with two hipped dormers and a modillion eaves cornice. Below, there are modern shop windows. No 28 includes a doorcase with pilasters and an open pediment supported by brackets, while No 30 has a modern bow window in a Georgian style. These buildings, along with Nos 16 to 24 (even), 24A, and Kings House, are part of a group.
