Description

18 and 20 High Street is a timber-framed building that was refronted in the 18th century. It has two storeys and attics. The front is covered in stucco, while the southwest side is made of red brick. The building features one hipped dormer and three sash windows with intact glazing bars. Number 18 has a modern curved plate glass shop window and a simple doorcase with console brackets and a projecting cornice. Number 20 has a six flush panelled door in a moulded surround, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. Numbers 16 to 24 (even), 24, Kings House, and numbers 28 and 30 form a group.
