Description

No 43 on High Street is a probable timber-framed building that was refronted in the 18th century with brick, which is now rendered, except for the elevation facing Church Approach, which is made of painted brick. The building has two storeys and attics, topped by a hipped tiled roof. There are some traces of an overhang on the first floor of the northwest front. It features two windows facing the High Street and two windows along with one dormer facing Church Approach. These windows are sashes, but the glazing bars are missing. The ground floor has modern shop fronts. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 27 to 43 (odd).
