Description
No. 45 High Street is a large house built in the late 18th century. It has three storeys and is constructed of red brick. The building features a modillion cornice and a parapet. There are two large bays, each with three windows that extend the full height of the house, with a central sash window between them. The glazing bars are intact. The doorway, located between the bays, is framed by a moulded architrave with an enriched frieze and a pediment supported by console brackets. It also includes a rectangular fanlight and a six-panelled door. Above the doorway, there is a lamp suspended from an elaborate scroll bracket. The building has group value with No. 43, which is of local interest.
