Description
The Bridge House is an 18th-century building located on the south side of High Street. It is two storeys high with attics and constructed of brown brick, topped with a hipped tiled roof. The north side features four windows and two dormers, while the east side has four windows and two dormers, and the west side has three windows. The glazing bars are intact. The west front has a doorway set in a moulded architrave surround with a pediment above supported by console brackets. Additionally, there is a two-storey 19th-century extension on the west side, designed in a matching style, with a hipped tiled roof and one sash window that also retains its glazing bars. The Bridge House, Acacia Hall, and the Mill Building located behind the Bridge House form a group, with the Mill Building noted for local interest.
