Description

12 and 13 Mercery Lane are 18th-century buildings that stand five storeys tall and are constructed of painted brick. They feature a parapet with coping and a rainwater head. The buildings have two sash windows, both of which retain their glazing bars, and are adorned with stone heads and cills. The shop fronts were added in the later 19th century. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 8A, Nos 10 to 16, and Nos 38 to 44 Burgate, as well as Nos 1 to 9 Butchery Lane. Additionally, Nos 10 to 16 form a group with Nos 6A and 7 The Parade.
