Description
Nos 143 and 145 High Street are 18th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall and are constructed of whitened brick. They feature six sash windows with glazing bars, which are set below a band at the top of the windows. The buildings have a parapet topped with ornamental 19th-century iron openwork and a rose design. The ground floor on the right side has a modern shop, while the left side has modern windows. However, over the pavement on the left, there is a wrought iron Regency shop canopy supported by openwork posts, featuring a sweeping lead roof. The canopy has a fascia board with shaped brackets and scrolling at the edges.
