Description
An early 19th century house, situated on Canterbury Road in Herne Bay. The house is constructed of brown brick with a tiled roof, the original portion featuring a parapet. It comprises one window bay to the south, which appears to be an addition without a corresponding parapet. The glazing bars in the windows are intact. The ground floor has two canted bays, each with three windows, and the ground and first floor windows are set within a pointed head framed by a square, creating a Gothic effect. The pointed doorway is framed by a moulded architrave and has a keystone. A two-storey extension of brown brick is located to the north, featuring three sash windows with intact glazing bars. The Priory forms part of a group with numbers 195 and 197 (Laurel Cottages), Little Cottage, and the property itself.
