Description

This building comprises a barn and sheds, dating from the 16th century and early 19th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded on a red brick base, which has been extended with ragstone and red brick, and is partly faced in corrugated iron. The roofs are plain tiled, with the barn having a hipped roof and a hipped mid-strey. The southern portion of the barn has plastered walls, possibly made of earth. Inside, there are nine bays with aisles, supported by passing shores and a clasped purlin roof. The southern bays are divided internally by a framed partition.
