Description
Idenborough is a house dating from the 15th century, which was reclad in 1784. It features a timber frame that is clad with red brick, along with some areas of ragstone and tile hanging. The roof is plain tiled and hipped, with gablets, and there is a cluster of stacks on the right side and at the left end. The house has two storeys on a plinth and includes three 20th-century wooden casements on each floor, with half-glazed doors on both the left and right sides. There are also French doors on the right return, in an outshot. Inside, there is an inglenook that is dated 1784, likely corresponding to the time of the red brick cladding. The interior features a moulded and filleted dais beam and an ogee arched doorway leading to the parlour, located at one end. The roof has a crown post and there is evidence of smoke blackening.
