Description
Hope Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with cladding added in the 18th century. It has a timber frame covered with painted and rendered brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has a hall house origin and is one storey high with an attic. It has a hipped roof and includes moulded and filleted stacks located to the centre left and projecting at the end right, with tumbled-in brick offsets. There are two gabled half-dormers and a wooden casement window on the left side, along with three wooden casement windows on the ground floor. Access is provided by a glazed door located at the rear, which is part of a catslide outshot. The right side of the house shows part of the exposed frame with brick infill, possibly featuring a wooden mullioned window. The full timber frame is visible inside the building.
