Description
Dragon Cottage, formerly known as Dragon House, is an L-shaped building dating from the 15th century. It features a timber-framed structure with plaster infilling, and the first floor of the west wing is close-studded. The north wing's first floor has curved braces and oversails on a bressumer and brackets, topped by a half-hipped tile-hung gable that also oversails on brackets and a bressumer. This bressumer is intricately carved and painted with figures of winged animals and includes an attic window. The building has a hipped tiled roof and casement windows with small square panes, as well as two small oriel windows on the first floor. Centrally located in the west wing is an 18th-century doorcase with a flat hood supported by brackets, leading to a door with six fielded panels. The building has two storeys and three windows.
