Description
The Chequers Inn is a 16th century or earlier timber-framed building, which has been refaced with red brick on the ground floor and is weatherboarded above, with the west end entirely weatherboarded. It features a hipped tiled roof at the west end and has casement windows. There is a 19th century gable projection in the center of the building. The inn is two storeys high and has five windows. Attached to the right side is a two-storey section with close-studding and a steeply-pitched tiled roof, which likely served as outbuildings for the inn.
