Description

The Old School House is a 16th century or earlier timber-framed building located on the north side of The Street in Smarden. The timber framing is exposed on the first floor, while the ground floor features partly painted brick and post and panel framing with plaster infill. It has a hipped tiled roof and includes casement windows with small square leaded panes in some locations. The building is two storeys high and has a total of five windows. A 19th century gabled porch is also present.
