Description

Churchgate Cottage is a two-storey building with an L-shaped block layout. The east wing likely dates from the 17th century and is now faced with painted brick on the ground floor, while the upper part features fishscale tiles. It has casement windows. The south-west wing is from the 18th century, constructed of red brick with alternating grey headers. This wing includes a modillion eaves cornice and sash windows with intact glazing bars. The doorway has a flat hood and a door with six fielded panels. Both parts of the building have tiled roofs. Each wing has three windows.
