Description
This is a barn located about 20 metres south of Court Farmhouse, dating from the 16th century and 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a plain tiled roof. The barn has a hipped shape with a projecting outshot on the left and a terminal outshot at the right end. The central section features carriage doors, with a wooden casement and a boarded opening to the right. Inside, the barn consists of three bays, with terminal outshots and a single aisle. It includes passing shores, heavy curved braces, and a clasped purlin roof. Single-aisled barns like this are rare in Kent, making it a notable example. There is also a later single-storey stable wing at the rear left, which has a hipped roof.
