Description

Ivydene is a house dating from the 18th century, with extensions added in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red and blue chequered brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a hipped roof, with a stack located at the right end. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, consisting of two three-light wooden casements on each floor. The ground floor windows have segmental heads, and there is a central panelled door. The right side of the house, which faces the road, has been extended with a single-storey red brick wing that includes the current entrance, which is accessed through a panelled door with a flat hood, likely added in the 19th or 20th century.
