Description

This is a barn located 35 metres south of Pitt Vale Farm House, dating from the early 19th century. It has a timber frame that is weatherboarded and topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn features five bays and is aisled on one side, with double doors located at the central bay on the opposite side. The roof is half-hipped. Inside, there is a queen strut roof with aisle posts resting on padstones, which are tied to the wallplate. All posts are braced to the tiebeam and the aisle or wallplate. The barn is included for its group value.
