Description

This barn, located 10 meters east of Pitt Manor Farm House, dates back to the 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, with the baseplate resting on a brick plinth. The roof is made of corrugated iron and features a half-hipped design. The barn has seven bays and includes an aisled layout, with a midstray porch that has a pent roof situated centrally on one side and double doors at one end. Inside, the barn boasts a queen post roof supported by posts on piers, and a combination of small and large curved braces can be found at the aisle plates, with large curved braces also present at the ties and windbraces.
