Description

This barn, located 30 meters west of Coles Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It has four bays and features a gabled midstrey in the second bay from the north-west side. The structure is timber-framed, primarily covered in original mud-plaster, with the lower walls weatherboarded. It has a plinth made of tarred red brick and a thatched roof. The complete framing includes primary-braced studwork and a clasped-purlin roof. On the east side, there are a pair of large framed and boarded doors. The barn is included for its group value.
