Description

Tower Mill, located 20 meters southwest of Mill House, is a tower mill built in 1860. The original stones were replaced by power-driven machinery around 1940, and the mill was in operation until approximately 1971. It features a large seven-storey tower made of tarred red brick. The patent sails, which were fitted with Catchpole's 'Air Brakes', were removed in 1929, and there were originally four sails. The mill had four pairs of stones, plus a fifth smaller stone. Although the domed cap and fantail have been removed, the cap frame remains.
