Description
This is a 17th-century barn that was once used as a slaughterhouse, located attached to Field Barn House in Micheldever. The barn is timber-framed and weatherboarded, sitting on a brick plinth, and features a hipped roof covered in cedar shingles. It is oriented end-on to the road and consists of five bays. There are double doors in the second bay from the road, a two-light window in the next bay, and a door in each of the two far bays. The corners of the barn are incorporated into the porch of an attached 19th-century stable block, which is now a cottage. Inside, the roof has a queen post strut design, with partitions made of timber scantling and brick. The bay at the road end has been rebuilt.
