Description
A 17th-century house, now divided into two cottages at 60 and 61 Church Street, Micheldever. The building is timber-framed with brick infill and a thatched roof. It originally comprised three bays, including a smoke bay, and stands on a plinth. There is an 18th-century wing to the rear on the right, and a section projects outshot to the left end. A 20th-century door with a timber porch leads to 61, positioned towards the inner end of the left bay, with 20th-century casement windows on either side. The right bay, number 60, features a small 19th-century sash window. Above are three eyebrow dormers dating back to the 19th century, each containing a 2-light casement built into the wall plate. The roof is hipped over the outshot and half-hipped on the right side, with an 18th-century brick stack along the ridge. A stack was later inserted to the left of the original smoke bay.
