Description

This cottage, located 10 meters south of Upper Silkstead Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble flint with brick dressings and features an old plain tile roof. The building consists of 2½ bays and is two stories high, with a prominent plinth that has a brick offset. There are wide brick quoins at each end and on either side of a narrow blank central bay. The cottage has four early 19th-century three-light cast-iron casements with lozenge panes set in segmental-headed openings.
