Description

Waterden Cottage is a cottage dating to circa 1870. It is constructed of flint rubble with brick angle quoins and stone dressings, and has a plain tiled roof. The cottage has end ridge stacks on common plinths, featuring panelled shafts under a common corbelled top. The regular front elevation includes a moulded brick eaves course. The upper floor has two mullioned 3-light casement windows within painted, deep-moulded stone surrounds. The ground floor has two canted bay windows with tiled roofs. A central 6-panel door is set within a gabled flint porch with moulded stone edging to the gable. The left-hand return front features a continuation of the eaves course across the base of the gable and a brick-edged arch on the chimney breast.
