Description
Nos 248 and 250 on High Street is a house that has been divided into two offices. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and is constructed of yellow stock brick. The building features a rendered and stone shop front below, with a roof that is obscured by a later stone-coped parapet. It stands two and a half storeys high, with stacks on the right side and a parallel range at the rear. The front has three bays with regular spacing, showcasing 6-pane glazing-bar sash windows under gauged-brick heads on the half-storey and 12-pane sashes on the first floor. The ground floor has modern plate glass fronts with marble stall risers. The right-hand return front has two tile-hung gable ends. This building is included for its group value.
