Description
St Olaf's Pond Cottage, located 150 metres west northwest of Wonston Cottage, is a late 17th-century cottage. It features a timber frame with brick and plaster infill and has a thatched roof with tiled areas. The cottage consists of four bays and two storeys, with a baffle entry leading to a doorway in the left-hand centre bay. The door is an early 19th-century, two-panelled flush fielded design, accompanied by a 20th-century tiled porch. The windows are irregular and date from the 19th and 20th centuries, including three two-light casements and one single-light window on the ground floor, and four two-light casements on the upper floor. The roof is half-hipped with a large ridge stack positioned left of centre, and there is a gable end stack to the right with a thatched weatherboarded lean-to below. The other end features a tiled outshot with an end stack. Inside, the door displays carved heads on brackets of the timber frame.
